Tonight, traditional Aymara healer SILVIA CHUQUIMIA, who has traveled from Peru, will share the philosophy, teachings, and traditions of the Aymara, as well as the history and ancient art of reading coca leaves. Descended from the pre-Inca people who inhabit the southern Lake Titicaca region, Silvia will explain why the coca is considered a sacred plant for the inhabitants of the Andes. This evening will include a visual presentation of Silvia’s hometown and a chance for Q&A with this unique healer.
